General Conditions

1- RESERVATION

People Rentals considers the reservation to be confirmed upon receiving proof of payment of the total amount for the accommodation, and will send confirmation of this to each guest.


2- Methods of payment

You can use the following methods of payment:
• Bank transfer. If you choose this option, we will email you our bank account number.

• Credit card. Through the secure payment platform of the website.

• PayPal. If you choose to pay through PayPal, select “bank transfer” and notify us of your intention by email. This method of payment carries a surcharge of 3%. Additional services (surfing classes, babysitter, guided tours, bike rentals, etc.) hired after the formalisation of the booking will be paid upon arrival, by credit card or in cash.

Security deposit: When we hand over the keys, we will ask you for a credit card number, for the purposes of a security deposit.


3- Cancellations

We hope you do not have to cancel your reservation, but, if this is necessary, we need you to do it in writing.

The deadlines and administration fees for cancellations are:

• More than 7 days before the day of arrival: 25% of the amount paid.

• Less than 7 days before arrival: 100% of the amount paid.

Change to the number of people: In case of a reduction in the number of guests checking in, there will be no changes in the rate. If, however, the number of guests increases, remaining within the capacity limit of the apartment, you must pay the difference at the time of check in.

Change to the number of days: We will be delighted if you want to extend the number of days of your stay with us. If this is the case, we will change the total amount to include the new number of days of the stay.



4- Procedure on arrival and departure

CHECK IN
Check-in takes place between 14:00 and 20:00, from Monday to Sunday, in our offices. In order to be able to organise a quick and efficient check-in, we would be grateful if you would tell us your estimated time of arrival. Late check-in has an additional cost of €50. If this check-in takes place after midnight, the additional cost will be €100. These amounts may be paid by cash or credit card at the time of check-in.

CHECK OUT
• Time of departure from the apartment is before 11:00. Please leave the keys on the table in the lounge and our team will do the rest.
• Please remember the following steps before your departure:
Turn off the lights and the heating or air-conditioning in the house, respecting the environment, and close the windows and the front door.


5- Children

We are delighted if guests come with their children, and those 3 years of age or under stay without charge. We have cots available for rent (the price is €8/day). Please let us know in plenty of time, so that we can book your cot and everything is ready when you arrive.


6- Cleaning

The apartment will be clean and in perfect condition when you arrive. Please clear up and leave the apartment, and especially the kitchen, tidy. In the event that there is damage attributable to your stay, we will deduct the cost of repair from the deposit.


7- Number of guests

The apartments have a limited capacity for guests and this must be respected. If for some reason there are more people, contact us to look for a solution.


8- Behaviour

We are sure that you will be respectful of the neighbours. Please note that they live there, and are not always on holiday. Control the level of noise on the stairs and the volume of music. When you rent a property with us, you accept the conditions of use, which you will sign upon arrival, and where all these points are listed. Parties or loud noise after 22:00 are not allowed.

If we receive complaints about irresponsible, disrespectful or rude behaviour, People Rentals reserves the right to request that you vacate the apartment without the right to compensation. This directly implies the loss of the refundable deposit and the cost of rent already paid.

When you rent an apartment with People Rentals, you accept the Conditions of Use. Everyday, the interval between 22:00 and 09:00 is regarded as “quiet time”.

The apartment may not be sublet or the rights to this contract assigned without the formal consent of the agency. Professional activity is prohibited in the rented spaces. The lessee shall conform to the internal rules of the building, in particular with regard to noise, hanging washing, cleaning, household waste disposal ... The apartment is rented until the date and time fixed in the contract.


9- Responsibilities

Both the owner and People Rentals, as a real estate agency in San Sebastian, are exempt from any liability for direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of the apartment, including, without limitation, damage, losses because of fires, robberies or criminal behaviour.

In the event of failing to comply with the above points, People Rentals reserves the right to request that you leave the apartment without the right to any compensation.


10- Legal notice

People Rentals reserves the right to update the information published on the website at any time, including, without limitation, rates, descriptions and photographs. People Rentals reserves the right to update its general conditions.

It is the responsibility of the users of the services of People Rentals to review these general conditions. By agreeing to use the People Rentals’ service, it follows that any changes are accepted by all parties and that all parties comply with these changes. These general conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

People Rentals is the trademark of Sociedad Coralan SLU, with VAT No. B-75071050, with registered address at Calle Amezketa 14, 1ºB, San Sebastian and registered before Notary Mr Jesús Mª Anza (Volume 2566, Book 0, Sheet 32, Page SS-34617, 1st regist.).


11 - Lost property

People Rentals is not responsible for objects left in the apartments or that go missing. If an object is found, we will try to get in touch with you to arrange its return. All delivery costs will be borne by the visitor.
