Full property description
WALKER is a holiday rental apartment in the Gros district, close to Zurriola beach (the surfing epicenter of San Sebastian), and very close to the Old Town.
This cozy holiday apartment in San Sebastian consists of one bedroom and a living room, both with a balcony where you can sit out to share a drink. There is one full bathroom and a totally equipped and ready to use kitchen. This is the perfect place for couples to have a nice vacation getaway.
The area situated just a few meters from this vacation rental is quite lively, and a great place to get started on your discovery of Basque pintxos. We recommend Ramuntxo Berri, Bodega Donostiarra, Tendido 5... If you go about 5 minutes further you get to the Old Town, where you will find more than 200 pintxos bars waiting for you! We hope you like good food because the food in San Sebastian is unreasonably delicious!

"The flat was in the perfect spot to access everything we wanted in the area by foot. We wanted to be close to the surfing beach and also near old town, so we really couldn't do any better. We definitely got our steps in, but it was doable. The 6th floor little balcony provided a pretty dreamy view and also removed us from a lot of the street noise. There was a decent amount of space in the flat and also lots of light. It even came with some basic cooking supplies - salt/pepper, olive oil, balsamic - so we didn't have to buy them when preparing meals. The office of the rental company was easy to access from the bus drop off from the airport which was convenient, and they called us a cab to get to the flat. They were very informative and friendly."

"Great location and well appointed kitchen. Very hot in summer without aircon or fan but other times of the year would be perfect. Bed was very small and pillows were tiny. Apart from these small issues we enjoyed our stay here - it's a great neighborhood."

"This is a fantastic apartment. Comfortable, great location---in particular, not only is the apartment near the old town, but the neighborhood it is in is very pleasant and interesting in its own right. Also, to address some other comments about noise, we stayed for a weekend and did not find the noise problematic at all"

"The location was pretty much unbeatable. The neighborhood was spectacular and it's an easy/pleasant walk to everything. The agency was friendly and accommodating on our arrival time and gave us some good suggestions for local restaurants and stuff to do. The apartment was great for two people ... it got really hot in San Sebastian this week and it always seemed to stay cool and pleasant in the rooms ... the balconies were probably our favorite part, very pleasant to have morning coffee and an evening drink on the balcony."

"Séjour incroyable !! L'appartement est à deux minutes à pied de la plage Zurriola, ce qui est l'atout majeur ! De plus, il se situe dans une rue piétonne et à une dizaine de minutes de marche du centre ville historique. Cet appartement est idéal pour les personnes espérant passer un séjour à deux, dans un appartement avec vue sur les montagnes et un accès direct à la plage. Les hôtes sont d'une gentillesse et d'une bienveillance exemplaire face aux clients. Je vous recommande amplement cet appartement."

"We had a pleasant stay at the apartment mainly as it was in a great location. We had to pick up the keys from the People Rentals office which was fine as it was just a 15 minute walk from the apartment and a ten min walk from the station. The apartment was situated in the Gros area which is just across the river from the old town so we had great food only minutes away from the doorstep. The place itself was ok - It was small but with quite a large terrace that we didn't really use in the end as we were out enjoying the fantastic food and sights most of the time. The appliances were a little dated and there was a sizeable leak in the bathroom sink which we notified PR about and they said they would fix it when we left. It didn't hinder our stay too much as we were able to use the kitchen sink instead. Over all our stay was fine. Thanks for having us. :)"

"This apartment was lovely- just the right size for us and Ina great neighborhood, out of the thick of it but close to everything! Only complaint would be the street noise (early morning garbage trucks), but earplugs help with that."

"We loved San Sebastian and the location was great. We could walk almost everywhere from the apartment. We met up with Sandra who gave us great tips. Listen to him about parking! He will save you a lot of money! And his recommendations about food were great. The streets of the town are tricky, so listen to his advice and have a really good gps. But while you're in town you won't need a car. The apartment is well equipped with lots of storage. It is quite close to the beach. But so is the whole town. A truly amazing experience! The apartment is a good size, the elevator is speedyand the bed was quite comfortable."

"We had a wonderful time in San Sebastian and this apartment was fantastic. As described, it was walking distance to everything--two blocks from Zurriola beach, one short bridge (5 minutes) from the old town and endless pintxos, and more. Sandra provided us with tons of restaurant recommendations and tips, which really helped make our trip. We would definitely stay at this apartment again, and hope to rent with People Rentals again."

"A great clean place. Very close to the beach and with a terrace that is ideal for breakfast or an evening drink. We enjoyed our stay! Sandra was very helpful on arrival with tips on the best places to go."

"We very much enjoyed our trip to Donostia, and this flat was a great base from which to explore the city. Located 2 minutes from the beach and only 10 from the Old Town, it is very convenient for most of the key areas in San Sebastian, and you feel constantly in the thick of the action. The flat itself is just as described/pictured: clean and compact, with all required amenities. Our host Sandra was incredibly helpful when we arrived, patiently advising us of things to see and places to eat, and offering her assistance should we require it during the stay. For us there were only two drawbacks to the apartment: the first was that it was located on the top floor of a six-storey building, and if you are not good with lifts the walk up and down can become a little tedious; the second, and more important, issue was the noise in the street below late at night. Good as it was to be in the thick of things, the nocturnal activities of party-goers and refuse collectors woke us up most nights and it was difficult to get as good a night's sleep as we might have liked. This is, of course, not the fault of the owner, and as we went during festival season the noise may not be a constant feature. However, light sleepers should take this into account. Overall we had a lovely experience and would recommend both the city and the apartment to couples after a relaxing and romantic break."
